Quasi was an reaction on the perception that non-linear media possesed an untapped potential for expression and the dream about creating more immersive experiences and not just indexing of information. Quasi - latin for apparently - covers the assumption that all media expressions inevitably will be distorted representations of the mundane reality and therfore impossible for the receiver to understand fully the intended message.
